Choosing a Gazebo.

Choosing a Gazebo can be interesting, as it is, or disappointing if you don’t know all the options you have to suit your house and budget. There are many types of Gazebos to choose from. Go through the details.

 

Based on the space a Gazebo occupies you can choose one of the following:

 

  • Patio Gazebo : For houses where space is limited, a Gazebo can be integrated with the patio. Small Patio Gazebos can snugly fit on a corner of patio. Large ones can be erected on the middle of edge. Patio furniture need to be integrated with the Gazebo.

 

·         Garden Gazebo : For a real outdoors feel and when space is no constraint. Erect this at a vantage point, so that every thing from your house front gate to waterfall in the garden and whole house can be seen from it.

 

            You can choose the from many materials to build a gazebo:

 

·         Wooden Gazebo : Cedar wood is chiefly used as also the redwood for construction of gazebos. These woods are durable and sturdy compared to other woods. Wooden Gazebos with ornate carvings would look quite good. But these need all the care that is necessary for wood exposed to elements: termite protection, prevention of rot and decay, regular polishing etc.

 

·         Metallic Gazebo: Metal Gazebos made of cast iron, wrought iron or steel, aluminium etc., are sturdy durable and good looking. They are also heavy and expensive; corrosion is an added nuisance. Insulation and lightning conduction need special care. Aluminium is light and non-corrosive.

 

  • Glass Gazebo : a modern gazebo with glass work (you can even choose glass panels with sun films that filter harmful UV rays.  Suitable for even cool climes.

·         Vinyl/ PVC Gazebos : These inexpensive gazebos can be molded into any design and have looks imitating metal and wood. These satisfy your taste for good looking and beautifully carved designs within an economical budget.

 

           The following two varieties may suit Gazebo enthusiasts.

 

·         Stone or Concrete Gazebos: Though bulky, If gazebos are built in stone or concrete with intricate carvings, would look like royal pavilions. Matches well with Victorian era buildings.

·         Double Roof Gazebo : For those who love complexity and classic touch, a double roofed Gazebo is good. Its roof has two decks.
